How it works

  1. Describe the image

    Start with a subject and setting. Add composition, lighting, and materials to make your direction more specific. You can add reference images when the selected model supports them.

  2. Choose a model and review the cost

    Select from the models available in your workspace. Image dimensions, reference inputs, and other controls depend on that model. Review the credit estimate before generating.

  3. Review and refine

    Open the completed result in your generation history. Reuse its settings, adjust the prompt, and create another version when you want to explore a different direction.

Before you start

Can I use a reference image?

Yes, when your selected model has an image input. The workspace shows the supported fields and file limits for that model. Choose references from your media library or upload your own.

Is image generation free?

Generation uses credits. The workspace shows an estimate based on the selected model and settings before you submit. You need to sign in and have sufficient credits to generate.

Can I edit an existing image?

Plotfun has separate tools for image editing, upscaling, reframing, and background removal. Open the appropriate tool in the workspace and choose a model that supports the change you need.
